Celebrate the Land

You're invited to Celebrate the Land, an elegant and sustainable evening under the stars that celebrates the landscapes, wildlife, and open spaces we all cherish. Join us at Waterbury Field on Saturday, September 12 for an unforgettable night in support of land conservation.

The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with savory hors d'oeuvres and complimentary cocktails, Captain Zig and Two Roads beers, and rosé from WinePort of Darien. Be sure to try our signature DLTini, crafted with Modico vodka and Darien Land Trust honey.

Guests will then gather for a thoughtfully curated, family-style dinner by Palmer's Catering & Events, featuring the season's finest ingredients sourced from local farms and purveyors. Check out the menu here. As the sun sets, the warm sounds of bluegrass by Strawberry Wine will provide the perfect backdrop for an evening of great food, conversation and community.

We're thrilled to announce that Governor Ned Lamont has proclaimed September 12 Darien Land Trust Day. We are deeply grateful to the Governor for recognizing the Land Trust's conservation and stewardship efforts and more than six decades of protecting Darien's open spaces.

September 12th will be a truly special celebration of the land we love and the community that makes our work possible. We hope you'll join us for this historic and memorable evening.

A note about your ticket: Of the $225 ticket price, the estimated fair market value of the goods and services you receive is $150. The remaining $75 may be deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for celebrating with us and supporting the Land Trust’s work to protect Darien’s open spaces.
