In November 2023, David Genovese of The Corbin District generously donated 10 maple trees to the Darien Land Trust. These native trees were gifted to replace those removed during downtown construction.

Thanks to their generosity, Brendan’s Meadow and Mather Meadows are now adorned with these stunning additions, enriching the beauty of our community for generations to come. Read more.

DURING THE LAST WEEK OF DECEMBER 2021, the McPherson family transferred property to the Darien Land Trust and Mather Homestead Foundation, a donation of land that completes the family’s vision to preserve their home, Mather Homestead, a National Historic Landmark at 19 Stephen Mather Rd., and more than 16 acres of meadows and woods that surround it on both sides of Stephen Mather and Brookside roads.
